Priorities → today’s picks on Progress → focus — one streamlined workspace.
Daily focus intentions: pick three tasks, then execute
An endless task list trains anxiety. A tiny daily commitment trains follow-through. Choosing up to three Eisenhower tasks you want to advance today turns a matrix from a museum into a schedule — then Session can default to that plan when you link a row.
Why three (and not ten)
Three is small enough to be honest on a messy day and large enough to cover real work. It forces a second pass: of everything that feels important, what actually moves this week? The Eisenhower matrix still holds the full picture; Progress holds today’s slice.
Where to pick in Focovia
Add or adjust tasks in Priorities. On Progress, use “Today’s picks” to list up to three open matrix tasks. You can start focus from either screen — the session links to the Eisenhower row, not just the title.
How Session uses your picks
When matrix link is on, Session orders tasks with your daily picks first. Quick start follows the first pick so execution matches the day you named — not whatever row sorted first.

Common questions
- What if I finish all three picks early?
- Add another open task to picks on Progress, or start Session from any matrix row. The three picks are a ritual, not a hard limit on how many sessions you run.
- Do picks sync across devices?
- Focovia stores data locally per browser. Use JSON export/restore if you move machines.
- Is this the same as a todo list?
- It is lighter: the matrix handles classification; picks handle “today only.” That separation keeps deep work from drowning in errands.
